Accounting Specialist | Prudential Financial | Parsippany, NJ

PREI is the real estate investment management arm of Prudential Investment Management, with over $30 billion in net assets under management held in over 40 client funds, on behalf of over 400 institutional clients. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Processing monthly and quarterly entries for the PREI entities
  • Prepare quarterly GAAP supplemental schedules
  • Prepare quarterly reconciliation of financial data to support financial statements, audit and Sarbanes Oxley
  • Prepare analysis of various financial data variances on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Ad-hoc/project work (e.g. McKinsey and Greenwich surveys, product profitability, ad-hoc business needs, etc.) JOB REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting preferred, but will consider candidates with proven experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Public accounting firm experience/CPA/MBA a plus.
  • Strong accounting, research and analytical skills.
  • Asset management industry experience a plus.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to drive process improvement.
  • Strong computer skills (a firm working knowledge of Excel; Access and Prudential financial systems applications a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and partnering skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Comments:
  • Overtime will be required during peak periods.
