PIM Overview:
Prudential Investment Management ("PIM") represents the asset management businesses of Prudential Financial, Inc. and is one of the nation's largest asset managers with investments worldwide.

Detailed Background:
Prudential Mortgage Capital Company (PMCC) is a full service commercial mortgage provider of multifamily, affordable housing, retail, office, industrial and hotel properties. PMCC's product line includes fixed rate, floating rate and interim/bridge loans; Fannie Mae and FHA lending; and mezzanine financing.

PMCC Finance currently has an open position for a Senior Accounting Associate in its finance department in the commercial mortgage subsidiary supporting Capital Markets activities. Capital Markets activities include: commercial mortgage backed securitizations (CMBS), collateralized debt obligation issuances (CRE-CDO), bridge lending portfolios and various other balance sheet initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in consolidation of Capital Markets forecast submissions and presentations
  • Prepare and analyze Risk Policy Monitoring report
  • Prepare journal entries related to various investments such as real estate, joint ventures, limited partnerships, and CDO activity
  • Provide accounting policy research and support for new business initiatives
  • Prepare financial schedules and executive summaries for various presentations relating to Structured, CDO and Secondary Market portfolios.
  • Document accounting processes and controls for accounting functions
  • Assist in FIN46 (VIE) analysis and conclusions

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Accounting or Finance Major.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills.
  • Strong teamwork and partnering skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Overtime required during peak reporting cycles.
  • CPA/MBA, a plus
