Plant Accountant | Plum Creek | Columbia Falls, MT

Perform all financial and accounting functions for the Columbia Falls and Pablo board mills. Provide direct support to both Plant Managers and other personnel at the plant level. Responsible for all General Accounting functions including month-end close, financial reporting and Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Continuous financial analysis/monitoring of operating results for identifying improvements and opportunities. Investment decision analysis; including AFE tracking and performance audits. Comprehensive development of annual budget, forecasts, strategic plans, operational standards and key performance statistics. Supervise and manage HR/Payroll, A/P, and all general office functions at both locations. Maintain effective and positive relationships with plant personnel, regional and corporate office personnel and internal and external audit staff. The position is based in Columbia Falls and requires weekly travel to the Pablo office (63 miles each way).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required. Preferred concentration in accounting.

Four years experience in accounting to include proficiency in general ledger systems, spreadsheet development and financial analysis. Experience in wood products industry desirable. Supervisory experience preferred.
