Senior Tax Accountant | Penske | Reading, PA
Description
Position Summary :The Senior Tax Accountant is an integral member of the Tax Organization. The senior tax accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex corporate and partnership tax returns. This person will also assist with large case Federal tax audits. They represent Penske as a leader in the truck leasing industry and must maintain professional and favorable relationships with all internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and/or review complex partnership tax returns
- Maintain partner capital accounts
- Review complex tax depreciation and gain allocations for capital intensive business
- Assist with large case federal tax audits
- Perform advanced tax research
- Special tax projects
Qualifications
Qualifications: - 5 - 7 years of combined public accounting/corporate experience with a focus on partnership tax
- Tax experience required
- Prior experience in private and big 4 public accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Master's of Taxation preferred
- CPA required
- Proficiency with RIA OneSource RS, or equivalent
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment; excellent written and oral communication skills; a proactive approach to problem solving and resolution; the ability to identify, research, and communicate tax issues; and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks are required
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Access required
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint required
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
