Corporate Accounting Manager | Amsted Rail | Granite City, IL
Headquartered in Chicago and with over 100 years of experience operating
in 10 countries with 30 worldwide locations, Amsted Rail is the largest
freight car component manufacturer in the world and a leader in
designing, engineering and manufacturing component systems for rail
cars.
We are looking for a skilled and professional individual for this role
in a privately held company with $1billion plus in revenues.
This individual will manage a staff acountant and an accounting clerk
and will be responsible for the following:
- Consolidation accounting for three domestic plants and one
international facility in Mexico.
- Accounting for several joint ventures of which the company has a
minority ownership interest.
- Tracking product warranty activity.
- Mexico accounting activity including curency valuation.
- Oversight of fixed asset accounting including project management,
CIP,forecasting and reporting.
- SOX compliance and account reconciliations
- Uploading of financial results into corporate consolidated reporting
system.
- Balance sheet forecasting and planning.
- Oversight of intercompany transfer pricing
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Professional, proven leader with excellent
communication,organizational and time management skills.
- At least five years of experience with consolidation accounting in a
manufacturing environment.
- B.S. in Accounting or Finance.
- Corporate accounting managerial experience.
- Experience with an integrated ERP system, preferably SAP.
- Public acounting experience helpful.
- CPA preferred.
